LS Mtron appoints new Quebec sales rep

FM Mécanique will be representing the injection molding machine maker in that province.

As part of a move to build out its North American sales and service team, injection molding machine maker LS Mtron has appointed FM as its sales agent for the province of Quebec.

In a statement, LS Mtron officials said that FM ’s technical director Jocelyn Fournier, a 32-year veteran of the plastics industry, will lead the sales effort in this region.

At the NPE2024 trade show in Orlando, Fla., in May, LS Mtron officials said the company expects to achieve a market share of 20 per cent – up from 7 per cent currently – in the U.S. in the next three years.

“We are ramping up our sales and service team…for a reason,” said Peter Gardner, president of LS IMM USA. “Our rapid growth plans require us to provide the best service possible to our customers. We are hiring the best industry professionals we can to help us achieve our goals and exceed our customers’ expectations.”

Other new sales representatives include MidTech Equipment Sales, in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota; Koster Machinery Co., in Florida; and Cotto Sales Inc., in the Caribbean.

The company has also announced the following new hires:

  • Chrissie Dornevil, parts manager, based in Duluth, Ga.
  • Thomas Triffo, field service technician, based at the new LS Mtron Technical Center in Palestine, Texas.
  • Brandon McCune, field service technician, based in Duluth.
  • Kyle Swope, field service engineer, based at his home in Bethel, Ohio.
  • Alex Guzman, regional sales manager, Southwest.
  • Steve Kelsay, regional sales manager, Midwest.
  • Mark Hwangbo, sales manager, Korean accounts.
  • Jae Jin Jo, sales and support team manager, based at the LS Mtron Chicago-area Technical Center.
  • JG Jung, electrical software engineer, based at the LS Mtron Chicago-area Technical Center.
